Mit der Faust in der Hosentasche

This is an illustration I created working together with Wilf Thust for the booklet that is published annually at my previous school (DSL) to coincide with readings by a contemporary German language author. This year it was an author called Uwe Timm, and this illustration accompanies an excerpt from 'Kerbels Flucht' (1980). In short, the story is about two old, previously politically active friends from university, whose lives have turned out differently; one successful but unhappy, dreaming of more, while the other is an unsuccessful taxi driver, but content.
